It is important that all participants on NMS programs take appropriate precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and consider the possibility of Covid-19 affecting their trip with us.

Vaccination: All NMS staff is required to be fully vaccinated and current with any boosters. All participants on NMS programs must be fully vaccinated and current with any boosters.

Covid-19 Protocols - All Programs

Fortunately most of our programs take place outdoors, which greatly assists with minimizing the spread of Covid-19. It is important, however, that we remain mindful of taking the usual precautions to help minimize the chance of becoming infected or infecting others.

Mask Use: Guidance for mask use will follow all local requirements for mask use. Currently in Washington no masks are required for indoor or outdoor programs.

Hand Washing and Hand Sanitizer: Frequent hand washing and the use of hand sanitizers has long been an effective way to reduce the spread of illness on expeditions. Participants are requested to wash or sanitize their hands before and after meals, after using the restroom, and to avoid sharing food, shaking hands, and sharing equipment during their trip. You should bring your own supply of hand sanitizer.

Covid Symptoms: If you develop covid symptoms before your program you must be tested before arriving at the start of the program. If you develop covid symptoms on the trip we ask that you isolate yourself from others until you can be tested. If you receive a positive test or are unable to be tested you we ask that you not attend the program. Those with negative test results that are free from covid symptoms may attend as planned.

Common Covid Symptoms:

We recommend Red Point Travel Service's "Ripcord" policies.

Terms of Agreement: Be sure to familiarize yourself with our Terms of Agreement surrounding trip cancellation.
